Body Hair Removal

When it comes to physical beauty, there is one concern that both men and women tend to share. If unwanted body hair is present, the desire to remove it can prove incredibly strong no matter the sex of the person in question. Fortunately, there are plenty of options for body hair removal. Some are quite inexpensive and quick. Others might require clinical treatment to see through to the end. They all, however, have the same result. Unwanted body hair is eliminated, at least for a time.

The options for body hair removal include:

  • Shaving. This is perhaps the most basic of body hair removal techniques. It is fast, affordable and effective for a short duration of time. The problem with this option is that it tends to be extremely short lived. Hair that is removed can grow back within a day. For men, this option might not work for the back area either. If it is employed, another person will need to help out. This tends to be the case with almost all forms of hair removal for the back area though.
  • Depilatory creams. These can be very effective for body hair removal almost anywhere. They are fairly quick to use, relatively painless and can have an effect that lasts for at least a few days. In some cases, the results might last even longer. Again, removing back hair in this manner can prove challenging at best. It is also important to use care with this method. Wanted hair can be impacted by poorly placed cream.
  • Waxing. This method of body hair removal can prove very effective, but can also be a bit painful. Still, when waxing is performed correctly, the results tend to last for more than a few days.
  • Tweezing. Using tweezers is an effective means for removing small patches of hair. This form of body hair removal is excellent for lips, eyebrows and other small growth spots. It can prove a nearly impossible means for removing large patches of hair growth. It is also considered quite painful.
  • Laser. When lasers are used for body hair removal, most people find the results are semi-permanent to permanent. This is an excellent means for removing hair from just about any part of the body. The only downside tends to be the cost. While pain generally is not a part of this process, discomfort can be. This form of hair removal does require appointment time and the use of a skilled practitioner.

Body hair removal presents with many options. What is best will depend a lot on personal taste, budget and time allotted. Shaving, waxing and creams tend to be the fastest methods, but hair growth can resume almost immediately. Laser hair removal and even tweezing can have slightly longer effects, but these options are not for everyone.
